Secret Challenge 5 - 8

For these challenges we each chose a stamp or range to use on a card:-

Gorjuss:
I decided to use a decoupage Gorjuss pack for this card. I just added a metal butterfly and some gems and pearls.

Prima Doll:
I embossed the foil paper and used black paper from the DCWV Twinkle Glint pack. The dress was stamped onto patterned paper from my stash. I added gems to her dress and headband and a few strands of Stickles. The key is a die cut and I cut the 21 on the Cuttlebug. This card is for my niece's 21st. Hope she likes it!

Lili of the Valley:
I love this LOTV stamp. The scooter has glossy accents on. The image, backing and swirls were cut with a Nesties. The bottom flowers and heart button and heart garland were bought in the UK on my recent trip. Love my goodies I bought there. Definitely need to visit again. The heart border is an MS punch and I added a strip of satin ribbon and a bow. The papers were from my stash.

SWALK:
My papers are from the MME Now and Then paper pack and I distressed the edges with silver ink. The frame is Bringing Crafts Too You Vintage chipboard. The words are greeting banners. The leaves were cut on the Cameo,  left over from a previous card. The flowers and butterfly are Petaloo. I added a strip of lace and some gem buttons.

Secret Challenge 1 - 4

While two of my sister-in-laws were busy and couldn't card for a few weeks, my sister and I took on a new challenge. We each chose 4 cards that we loved on Pinterest and re-created them with our own supplies and special touches. These are my cards:-

I used Core'dinations Graphic 45 and Bo Bunny The Avenues paper for the background and distressed it with Old Paper and Tea Dye ink, then distressed with papers.I tore a piece of a box for the corrugated strip, added two pieces of lace to it. My shapes are Nesties and I stamped the Friends with a Hero Arts stamp. The border and leaves are Martha Stewart punches to which I added some Perfect Pearls mist. I added pearls to centres of the flowers. The beige ribbon is seam binding ribbon and the other piece was from a gift wrapped chocolate I added to my stash... never waste a thing!

I used dotted background paper and polka dot pink paper from the Rose Garden paper pack. I cut each flag and distressed it with Tea Dye. The lace, doily and ric rac were from my stash. I cut the tag on a Nesties called Gold Label 4. The words were from an Art Deco stamp set. I added some Stickles to the flowers and added a bow. Just love this ribbon.

My background paper is Prima Fairy Flora and the dotted is Jillibean Soup. I distressed the edges with my machine and added Tea Dye to the dots. I improvised with the leaves using a Nestie die. My flowers are Petaloo and I added dome beaded stamen goodies.  I added two gem buttons. I couldn't find pearls so I used gems randomly. I used fishing line after first attempting cotton thread which was barely visible on the card.

My paper is from Heartfelt Creations Timeless Amour. I used Modeling paste on the brick stencil then once dry I used a watercolour pencil crayon between the bricks and the random dots. The doily, leaves and tags were cut on the Cameo. I added flowers, pearls, glittered stamens and a bell is attached to the ribbon. The frame is resin.

2015 Card Girls Challenge 6 : Baby Animal

My papers are from the Venetian Collection Pack. The elephant card and sentiment were cut on the Cameo. I distressed all the edges before putting it all together. I squished the ears and raised them in the centre before glueing them down. I added gems for their eyes.

2015 Card Girls Challenge 5 : Best of Friends

I used a Paper Shelter digi stamp called "Sharing a Rainy Day". I added Stickles to their furry collars and hat, a few gems and highlights with a white gel pen. I used Glossy Accents on the umbrella to make it look wet. I used distress ink around the stamp.

My paper is Prima. I cut the white background pattern, leaves and blue doily on the Cameo. I added a strip of lace and some swirly pearls.

2015 Card Girls Challenge 4 : Fruity

My papers are from the Bo Bunny "The Avenues" collection. The stamp is Paper Shelter called "Peaches". I coloured it with Copics and the backgrounds, wooden box and fruit stand with distress inks and a few dabs of mouding paste. I added some Stickles to the peaches. The image is cut on a Nesties.

I added a circle punch behind the image. I used the same punch (its a 8 in 1) for the top border and a MS punch for the bottom area. I used a Prima stitched stamp around the papers. The tree trunks and birds are a die by IO. I added a strip of lace at the bottom, a collection of various roses, a double bow (which I have finally mastered and am loving making) and a resin frame above the sentiment which was part of a freebie stamp set.

2015 Card Girls Challenge 3 : Handmade Flowers

I made two different flowers.  The big ones were made with punches. I added distress ink and Perfect Pearls mist and stickles for a bit of shimmer. The 5 smaller flowers were cut with a Marianne Designs die. I added pearls to the centres and Perfect Pearls mist. The leaves are also a die by IO which I cut in half. I added hald a beaded swirl.

I laid the flower arrangement on a doily which was distressed. My papers are from Prima Delight Collection and a sheet of Fabscraps.

I ripped a piece of cardboard off a box, added some white craft paint and a strip of lace to the side. Some pearls,  Say it with Crystals and a bow finish it off. The Happy Birthday was part of a freebie stamp set in a magazine.

2015 Card Girls Challenge 2 : Pretty in Pastels

My card is more muted than pastel but my ribbons and swirly pearls are pretty and pastel.  ðŸ˜Š
My stamp is LOTV cut out on a Nestie. The heart, leaves and fence are dies. I love this fence die and was able to use it on 2 cards. I coloured them with Copics and added some moulding paste and Flowersoft to the bottom of the fence. A few swirly pearls and flowers finish it off.

My papers are Heartfelt Creations which is fabulous.

2015 Card Girls Challenge 1 : Disney Paper Piecing

This was a fun challenge chosen by my sister. She cut the paper piecings on her Cricut and we had to put them together. I got Donald Duck and made this card for my niece's little boy turning 2.  I used corrugated paper for the stripe and tag backgrounds.  The sentiment stamp is LOTV.  The bumblebees and stars are from 2 different Disney sticker packs.

2014 Card Girls Challenge 39: Nativity

I used a Precious Moments stamp.  For my background I used a brick stencil and modelling paste.  Once it dried I rubbed Tea Dye and Scattered Straw distress inks over the raised areas then sprayed it with Biscotti Pearl Mist and dried it with my heat tool. It left a lovely shimmer.

I added eyelets to the four corners  attaching the burlap ribbon. I used the bird and cage dies which I distressed and added Glossy Accents to the cage. The sentiment is LOTV which I stuck in a Jolees sticker frame. I added two Petaloo burlap flowers.

This is the last challenge for the year and when we come back in 2015, we will be all fired up and ready for some new challenges.

2014 Card Girls Challenge 38 : Steampunk

This is one of my favourite cards and I gave it to my sister for her birthday. The clothing style reminded me of her as she's got a few velvet evening dresses with a vintage flair.

I cut the easel card out on my Cameo. I used a Paper Shelter digi stamp called "It's Tea Time", coloured with Copics and Glossy Accents onthe clocks, tea, glasses and eyes. I added tea dye distress ink around the edges and cut her out on a Nesties. I added some ribbon through eyelets and some Prima metal clock hands attached with a brad. The paper and flower are by Prima. The two lace cog/gears are Jolees stickers. The black clock and gears are all from a sticker pack.

For the inside I used a another part of the clock sticker set and my LOTV sentiment is framed with a Gorjuss metal frame and attached it with clock hands and brads and glue dots.

2014 Card Girls Challenge 37 : Swing Card

I made a triple swing card and used a LOTV stamp set of bears. I cut the card on my Cameo. The patterned paper is Prima Indeed collection called "Enchanted". I punched scalloped circles and stuck them behind the bears. I added 3 sentiments. For the inside right border I used a Fiskars border punch and added Black crystals along the edges. I added some adhesive lace and a crocheted doily with a brad in the centre.

2014 Card Girls Challenge 36 : Splat

I used a Paper Shelter digital stamp called "Not Big Enough". I coloured her with Copics,  added Stickles to the ice cream splats and the dots on her dress, and Glossy Accents to her shoes. I used Tea Dye and Tumbled Glass distress inks for the background.  I cut the image out with a Nesties.

I embossed the brown paper with a Couture Creations folder called "Smooch" and then heat embossed the raised areas with clear embossing powder.  I punched a border with a Fiskars border punch for the pink triangle.  All my edges were distressed with a little distressing tool.

I added some ribbon through a ribbon slider, added an ice cream brad to the sentiment and a few sticky pearls.
The white blobs are modelling paste which my sister and I recently bought to try out.
