The Paper Shelter Christmas Break 2024 Challenge - Anything Goes

Our final challenge for the year at The Paper Shelter is 

ANYTHING GOES

I used one of the new Christmas images called Christmas Eve Wishes.  She is coloured with Copics and fussy cut.  The papers are by Stamperia. I added a die cut frame.  

The embellishments are: Leaves and berries by Prima Flowers (Candy Cane Lane),

Christmas gift by Little Birdie (Christmas wrapped),

Doe cut foiled sentiment by Papermania.

The Paper Shelter Tribute - in honour of those we love

 Welcome to my blog!

This week and next, rather than running our usual Blog Hop, the Design Team at The Paper Shelter is honouring our beautiful co-founder Veronica, who tragically left us on the 25th of September 2024.

Veronica was a kind, supportive, beautiful soul, who alongside her co-founder Pedro, produced the images we all know and love to create with.

There is a vacuum in the world today, where Veronica used to be, and we all miss her terribly.

Veronica, you are forever a dear friend, a beautiful soul and forever in my heart!

Veronica so enjoyed creating the new colouring books, so I wanted to use one of the very beautiful images from the Angelic Grace colouring book.  The image is the star of the card.  I coloured her with Copics, added some background lace, and some flowers and beaded twirls and a sentiment.

This week I used The Paper Shelter image called Enchanting Fairy Portrait.  She is coloured with Copics.  For this week's theme, my dots and stripes are on my papers, dotty gem flourishes by Crafters Choice BLING and lots of dots on her wings.  I added some crochet doilies with a gold Say it in Crystal centre.

MAKE IT SPARKLE

This week I used The Paper Shelter image called Mermaid's Melody. She is coloured with Copics.  To get my sparkle, I added lots of glitter on her scales and adhesive Say it in Crystals as bubbles in the water.  I added a strip of lace and some fish and glitzy scales.

TIME TO CELEBRATE

I'm always short of male cards so this week I used The Paper Shelter image called So Classy!  He is coloured her with Copics.  I also used the pre-coloured background that comes with this image.  It's one of the great value-for-money features of The Paper Shelter's images where you get a variety of pre-coloured images, black and white uncoloured images and background paper and all-in-one.  There's something for everyone!

Our challenge this week at The Paper Shelter is 

FANTASY OR FAIRYTALE

I used one of the older Fantasy Paper Shelter's images called Valentina and coloured her with Copics.  The background papers are from the Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour paper pack.  

I added two different pieces of lace.  I used Decorative Chips laser cut in the top corner and added some Prima "My Sweet" flowers and a few enamel dots by American Crafts.  

The balloons are Magnolia die cuts.

LOTS OF LAYERS

I used one of The Paper Shelter's newer images called A Light Packer and coloured her with Copics.  I cut the image out with a tag die and inked the edges to give it a distressed look.  The papers and travel tags are from the Stamperia paper packs called Around the World, Voyages Antastiques and Coffee and Chocolate.  I added some beautiful lace and ribbon and used a Martha Stewart border punch for the background papers.

I have the honour of being a Guest Designer at StarStampz challenge blog this month.

The theme for this challenge is: 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

My daughters love to read and this image is a perfect card for either of them.  I used an image called Autumn Fall Girl Reading.  She is coloured with Copics and cut with with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die.  The papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Sunny Day Collection.  I added some autumn leaves by Prima and flowers by Little Birdie and a few enamel dots by April & Ivy.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a local craft shop.
